Confessions of a Nihilist
I have become a nihilist. That doesn't mean that I sit around in coffee shops all day in a black turtleneck. It's not an act of rebellion. It is just something I became.
Which really sucks for everyone. It sucks for my kids - I don't have the will to teach them any precepts - I don't believe in anything anymore.
It sucks for my wife.
It sucks for my job. I have no purpose and no motivation.
But how does one revert?

Eight-year-olds, Dude.
will you just take it easy, man
Logically, every atheist should accept that he is merely a soulless bag of chemicals behaving automatically according to the laws of nature, his free will is an illusion, life is usually fairly unpleasant and whatever he may have will disappear forever at death in a few years time.
This is basic atheistic belief, and if that's not only depressing but even maddening then I don't know what is.
so here's my question to you; if i kind of feel that way now, how am i ever gonna get motivated to have kids?
