Kudos to suitepotato for alerting me to somethingawful.com where they are lampooning Thomas Kinkade's work with some creative photoshopping. Let's just say they are not fans.

I like it. Thomas Kinkade is nauseating.
If I had artistic ability, I'd paint stuff like this for my home. I always loved Charles Adams' cartoons and little creepy twists and surrealism.
A really weird artist is Donald Roller Wilson. If you hit www.donaldrollerwilson.com you'll see what I mean. I only wish I had the kind of money his art goes for.
All that is missing from Thomas Kinkade's saccharine style is Krishna and the cowgirls. Then it would be truly appalling. And truly Indian.
Add that, and he will be hung in every shop or hootch from Mumbai to Calicut. With blooms and incense before the posters and a daily basis. He should go to India to find himself. We'll muddle along without him over here, he need not worry.
