It was one of Wilde's!

Tobie's mention of Oscar Wilde brought to mind this classic Monty Python skit...

Due to the highly liquid nature of bat effluenta, most bat caves will, at various spots, have pools of noxious liquid that may be several feet deep. It has been said that a misstep while spelunking can cause a demise which redefines unpleasant demises.

I know this only because I used to study bats.

There are no bat caves in my neighborhood. But there are some bats (maybe Eptisicus Fuscus) living in the crevices between buildings on Clay and Washington streets.

I don't understand why this was related to Tobie's post...

miri - nothing to do with her post. She mentioned Wilde's trial in a comment on my previous post.
