Book Meme
[Edited: I think I broke some kind of blogoprotocol by not mentioning whence came the meme-tag (sounds like a Dutch word). Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to make the books links. Google is everyone's friend though, so I leave it as an exercise to the reader]

2. One book you have read more than once? Shogun

Whoo! A meme. Haven't done one of those in a while! : )
Wow, the only one of those that I have read is Joy Luck Club - but it was beautiful.
Have mem-posted, and tagged others.
Will read the meme-posts of others as they appear. This should be interesting.
BOTH,
I've encountered two cohorts that drop first person subjects in their sentences. Telegram senders and British subjects, (or those trying to impersonate them, I suppose).
I wonder where this curious grammatical mode originated?
