Origin of name "Cast Lead"
is this poem by Chaim Nachman Bialik:
מורי הביא כרכר לי,
בן- עופרת יצוקה -
יודעים אתם לכבוד מה?
לכבוד החנוכה!
Translation:
My teacher gave me a top
made from cast lead
Do you know the reason why?
In honor of Chanukah!
(Operation Cast Lead began on the last day of Chanukah)
