MusicMambo Monday

Many of you have perhaps heard this song sampled in Lou Bega's "Mambo #5", but here is the originale by Perez Prado(with his trademark grunts) - Ladies and Gentlemen, Mambo #5:

Nice.

Do you know where I can find the parody of this song by "Lenny Bagel"? ('A little bit of Chanukah... in my life') I don't remember where I heard it and I can't find it anywhere. It's an amusing parody.

BD,

It's not Lenny Bagel, it's "Loius Bagel" and it was done by David Brodie. Not sure where you can find it, but here is a website if you want to listen to it...

Wow, thanks! I've been looking for a clip of that song for years and years!

On a different note, what did Norman Mailer have against liberals? Was it his spat with feminists, or was he just being his usual truculent self?

Who the heck knows what he meant by this letter exactly. I know that many of the liberals in the US at the time were Communist sympathizers and Mailer was pretty anti-Communist. I'd love to read the transcript. I guess it was published in Playboy in 1963, but I don't think I'll be able to get my hands on that issue. (I only want it for the articles :) )
