Munch for Lunch

Called a buddy to see if he wants to walk over to the Edvard Munch exhibit at the Art Institute during lunch. He said "Possibly" and booked it in his calendar. He was trying to figure out what to put in the subject for his appointment - I suggested "Munch for Lunch"

I did wind up going to the exhibit and enjoyed it quite a bit.

I thought the way the Art Institute juxtaposed paintings by Munch with other painters who may have influence him was quite interesting.

Also, I thought that it was interesting that to a certain extent Munch built up a 'marketing' image of himself as an anxious and neurotic artist to sell more paintings...

Did they have extra security measures in place to protect The Scream?

You know, they did not have the original painting, only a print.

I did not get the audio guide - had to go through exhibit double-time during lunch hour. Enjoyed it thoroughly, nonetheless.
