SUCH an intelligent show.
I still watch the re-runs.
ok, I know it's a cultural travesty that I've never followed M*A*S*H, but I don't get it. Ma hakesher?
Ma ha-kesher? The song, listen to the song!
but the kesher between the song and M*A*S*H is what I meant.
Ah...The song is sung during the opening credits of the movie "M*A*S*H" and later became the theme for the TV show. The scene starts with the dentist, "The Painless Pole", who is going to commit suicide because he thinks his rather impressive "organ" has become impotent. This becomes the focus of an elaborate gag.
Am I the only one who finds that a little disturbing? I mean, the show was supposed to be set during the Korean war, right?

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
