Never got called a zhid. But I do remember being called a "vuile rot-Amerikaan", an "Amerikaanse klootzak", and a "Jenkie boere-lul". Among other charming epithets. I still have a chip on my shoulder about such things, I'm afraid.
Reading the venom on some Dutch websites directed at America and Israel over the last several years kinda revived memories I had pushed down. The internet is a wonderful thing - it has turned me spitting mad. And I am more capable of talking back now. Perhaps more eloquent too.
OK, what's a "klootzak"?
A klootzak is what Borat charmingly refers to as a 'testicles bag'.
It is the vehemental equivalent of 'A--hole' and similar epithets.
