Clarifying one's status as neither a lizard nor a newt should always be done right from the beginning. Once new co-workers start suspecting that one actually is a lizard (or a newt), it colours all further interactions with them.
In my experience.
The interview is a two-way street. Its about time someone offered sound advice that will surely position the interviewee correctly....shame it will not be on any of the many interview panels I sit on.
