Second place in the den competition - North Central Suburban Council Pinewood Derby.I have to admit that until this year I knew nothing about Cub Scouts, especially Orthodox Jewish Cub Scouts, but there's nothing like watching your kid come home with a trophy.

First, hurrah for your kid! Second, do you happen to know a certain Tae Kwon Doe teacher whose kid is a cub scout? Last year the kid participated in a race just like this.

I am pretty new to the neighborhood, so I am not sure that I know any Tae Kwon Doe instructors in this pack. Is this his full time job? Feel free to email me with a name if you're really interested.
This race is held every year across the nation. It seems to be a pretty big deal - which was a surprise to me until recently.
